Introducing Movepad | First Gamified Launchpad in Move-Based Ecosystems

--

With lots of launchpads already existing in the crypto space, it is easy for anyone to ask what makes MovePad different from the others and what features MovePad promises.

Grab a cup of coffee guys and let’s take a quick walk through the MovePad launchpad, our roadmap, and why we’ve chosen to explore the Move ecosystem. We’d be brief and would make sure your coffee doesn’t get cold before we round up!!

What is MovePad? 🚀

Built to help onboard the next set of users into the Web3 space, MovePad is the first gamified IDO Launchpad on the Move ecosystem. Our goal is to help projects on Aptos and Sui raise funds while making sure our community members and investors stay protected and do not lose their funds to scams.

MovePad will offer a utility token known as MPAD. Using the MPAD token, users can stake to get allocations to invest in projects launching on our launchpad. As we progress, other utilities such as staking for ROI will be explored for MPAD.

For the first few launches on the MovePad launchpad, our team of experts will carry out due diligence to make sure only quality projects launch on our launchpad. Subsequently, we’ll develop a decentralized DAO governance feature where MPAD token holders can make decisions on projects listed on our launchpad.

What makes MovePad different from other Launchpads? 💡

1. Gamified Experience

With our launchpad, users stake their tokens thereby competing with each other for an allocation to invest in listed projects. MovePad features a gamified experience of launching and investing in IDOs making it unique and fun for users.

2. Permissionless

We offer a non custodial and decentralized way of participating and organizing project launches. Users have complete control over their MPAD tokens and only stake them to invest when they decide to. Our system is completely decentralized and safe for users.

3. Staking Allocation System

Our launchpad uses a staking allocation system that offers users allocation to invest in an IDO depending on the amount of MPAD tokens staked and the staking duration. In this way, our system appreciates loyalty by offering a fair allocation to users who stake small amounts of tokens for a longer duration of time.

4. Cross Chain Integration

Exploring the Move Ecosystem, MovePad will be available on both Aptos and Sui blockchains. This is to make sure we tap into the best features of both blockchains while ensuring that users get access to invest in the best projects on these networks.

5. Automated Security Features

In addition to properly auditing our smart contract before mainnet launch, the MovePad launchpad will explore automated security features such as token lockers and liquidity lockers. As we constantly seek to keep our users protected, we’ll implement these features to ensure that projects launching on our launchpad secure their project’s liquidity using our transparent and secure locker features.

6. Liquidity Mining/ Sharing

With an integrated liquidity mining feature, our system ensures that users can contribute to a project’s liquidity pool thereby making sure of the availability of liquidity at all times. Users can also explore this feature to make profits through LP token yield farming opportunities.

7. Decentralized DAO Governance

MovePad will feature a decentralized DAO governance system that users can leverage to make decisions on projects listed on our launchpad. For the first few launches on MovePad, our team of experts will properly vet these projects to make sure only quality and top notch projects launch with us.

Subsequently, our users will be able to make decisions on projects listed on the launchpad through a decentralized DAO governance system that utilizes the MPAD token.

Our Tier System 🥇

MovePad offers an easy tier system with three levels. In order to help drive inclusion, we have made our launchpad tier system requirements a simple one. Here’s how our tier system looks.

Silver Tier

The Silver tier is the least tier in our system. Users need to stake a minimum of 10,000 MPAD tokens to join this tier. Unfortunately, IDO allocation is not guaranteed for this tier and users need to complete different whitelist tasks to receive allocation.

Gold Tier

This is the second tier in our allocation system. For the Gold tier, users need to stake a minimum of 25,000 MPAD to get an allocation to invest in IDOs conducted on our launchpad. Users who stake in the Gold tier receive a guaranteed allocation to invest in projects.

Platinum Tier

The Platinum tier is the highest tier in our allocation system. Staking in the platinum tier offers users a guaranteed allocation to invest in project IDOs. To join this tier, users have to stake a minimum of 40,000 MPAD tokens to the staking pool.

MovePad Roadmap ⌛

We have lots of activities and developments planned out for our amazing community. As we progress, we’ll continue to update our roadmap. For now, the project roadmap for the rest of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 has been drafted and can be seen below.

November 2022

  • Platform V1 development — Completed
  • Community growth
  • MPAD whitelist competition launch
  • Partnerships within the ecosystem

December 2022

Why We Chose the Move Ecosystem 🤔

MovePad will explore the Aptos and Sui blockchains which are both based on the Move ecosystem. Move as a programming language, aims to improve blockchain safety and security. With the past and more recent happenings in the space, it is important to prioritize the security and safety of our users.

In addition to security, the Move ecosystem offers more scalability and decentralization compared to other layer-1 blockchains. With regards to decentralization, the hardware requirements for running validator nodes in the Aptos and Sui ecosystem is quite cost-efficient, making it easy for node validators to explore the system ensuring more decentralization. More decentralization further impacts the security of the system.

Generally, Aptos and Sui seek to tackle the blockchain trilemma.

Partly, one of the reasons why we’re bullish on the Aptos and Sui blockchains is that both are headed by ex-Meta teams who had done proper research and consequently developed the Move language for the now scrapped Diem (formerly Libra) project. Both blockchains are well funded and are backed by teams with proper product development experience seeking to use their expertise to solve the problems faced by current layer 1 projects.

See! We told you your coffee wouldn’t get cold before we finished. What does that mean? We keep to our word at MovePad. See you some other time guys but before we go, please give us a thumbs up by following our socials below.
